Taylor’s Steakhouse has been there since 1953, and you can find it at 8th & Ardmore in the Mid-Wilshire area. My husband and I usually split their signature Molly Salad, the dinner culotte cut with a baked potato, and asparagus with hollandaise sauce. And they make a mean martini.

République opened up in Campanile’s old spot in 2012 on La Brea just north of Wilshire which is run by a married couple. It offers A LOT: a fantastic wine list, great cocktails, oysters, fresh baked bread, breakfast, ice cream, desserts to die for, annnnnnd steak.
