December is here and Christmas season is in full swing. That means Christmas carols, holiday shopping, Santa visits, and Christmas lights! 🎄✨❄️⛄️ Here are a few great spots to check out brilliant light displays.

The Enchanted: Forest of Light at Descanso Gardens in La Cañada is one of LA’s most stunning displays among its botanical gardens. The entire area covers about a mile, but the route is easy to follow and is mostly level. It can get a little chilly “up there” at this time of year.

The L.A. Zoo’s Wild Wonderland of Light offers a self-guided stroll with wildlife-inspired displays, dynamic lights and projections, immersive interactive experiences, fabulous photo ops, and seasonal magic. Don’t forget to wear comfy shoes and bring a sweater. And if you buy your tickets online you can skip a lot of the entry line.

You can also check out Candy Cane Lane at Lubao & Oxnard in Woodland Hills. No tickets needed as this is just a free thing that many of the neighbors put together because they just LOVE Christmas. Please do NOT visit after 10pm to be respectful of the rest of the community. Oftentimes the lights are off after 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends.

Before you visit the light displays, you might want to grab a quick bite at one of our favorite pizza places. Also…find out about other events happening in LA this time of year by clicking here.
