If you’re looking for an old school Hollywood vibe, El Coyote Cafe is certainly a blast from the past. This Los Angeles institution is located at 7312 Beverly Boulevard, and with so many of LA’s historic restaurants disappearing over the last few years, it’s great to see this landmark surviving and thriving.
There are eight dining rooms plus an outdoor patio. While the seating capacity is 375, you can expect to wait for a table on the weekend (they don’t take reservations). TIP: If there is a wait, they have a bar room where it’s open seating.
They have on-site valet parking for about $5 or there’s metered parking on Beverly plus parking on neighborhood side streets if you prefer a bit of a stroll…just pay attention to the signs. 😉
According to their website, “On March 5, 1931, Blanche March and her husband, George, opened the doors of El Coyote Mexican Cafe for the very first time. The original location was a tiny spot on First Street and La Brea in Los Angeles, CA. Today’s location at 7312 Beverly Boulevard has an impressive seating capacity of 375 and continues to be L.A.s favorite traditional Mexican Restaurant.”
