We often hear from sellers, “What’s all the fuss about staging?” I think that case studies, such as our latest sale below, answer that question better than I can. Good staging makes ALL the difference in the world and that difference results in more offers and a higher net sales price for the owner. Buyers generally lack the vision to imagine what a property could be and instead want to see what it already is. This isn’t true of all buyers, of course, but as a generalization it holds true…at least in my humble experience after all these years in the business. I’ve written before about the importance of staging and what a huge difference it makes when selling a home.
Living by that premise, here’s our latest example of a home we staged for sale in Larchmont Village…Backstory: the seller had already started work on the house when we met. He had tried to sell it with a different real estate agent, but had no luck. I remembered seeing the house before and knew I had distinct ideas about why it hadn’t sold.
